The Fall New York's Jack Shainman Gallery will present a large selection of work from my first year of working with the assistance of the Annenberg Fellowship, a two-year award. We've been preparing a lot of work, shot in locations as diverse as the Dominican Republic, the Yukon Territories, Iraq, and Patagonia. The opening is from 6-8pm on November the 19th. Please join us on the night. The show continues from Nov 20-Dec 23.
Ca l'Arenas Recent video work will be exhibited as part of a year-long cycle of exhibitions curated by Martí Perán at Barcelona's Ca L'Arenas Art Centre, Museu de Mataró . Other participating artists will include Ignasi Aballí, Artur Zmijewski, Nedko Solakov, Deimantas Narkevicius and Domínec. The show investigates war and its representations. |

Leonore Annenberg Fellowship in the Performing and Visual Arts This is my second year working with the assistance of the Leonore Annenberg Fellowship in the Performing and Visual Arts, a major two-year award that has enabled me to travel extensively and focus intensively on making new work. The fellowship was set up by the late Mrs Leonore Annenberg. Fotofest 2010 Biennial A large selection of recent work from Iraq has been selected by Aaron Schuman for inclusion in Houston's Fotofest 2010 Biennial, the longest running and most acclaimed photography biennial in the United States. The exhibition runs from March 12 to April 25, 2010. Schuman is editor and co-founder of Seesaw, an avant-garde online journal of photography, and an independent curator and critic with a strong commitment to U.S. photography. He is co-curating the Biennial alongside Charlotte Cotton, Edward Robinson, Natasha Egan, and Gilbert Vicario. Landscapes of Quarantine Landscapes of Quarantine is an independent, multi-disciplinary design studio, based in New York City, consisting of eight evening workshops, from October 6 to December 5, 2009, in which 17 participants will gather to discuss the spatial implications of quarantine. Organized by Geoff Manaugh of BLDG BLOG, the workshop will conclude with a group show at Storefront For Art and Architecture in February 2009
